Characteristics of Colored Polyester Filament FDY

1. Good heat resistance: Colored polyester fiber is made by melt spinning, so the heat resistance and thermal insulation of polyester fiber are higher. It is the best synthetic fiber.

2. Good abrasion resistance: the abrasion resistance of colored polyester fiber is only inferior to that of nylon with the best abrasion resistance, and better than that of other natural fibers and synthetic fibers.

3. High strength: filament fiber strength is 2.6~5.7cN/dtex, and high strength fiber strength is 5.6~8.0cN/dtex. Due to its low moisture absorption, its wet strength is basically the same as its dry strength. The impact strength is 4 times higher than nylon and 20 times higher than viscose fiber.

4. Corrosion resistance: It can resist bleach, oxidant, hydrocarbon, ketone, petroleum products and inorganic acid. It is resistant to dilute alkali and is not afraid of mold, but can be decomposed by hot alkali. There is also a strong ability to resist acid, alkali and ultraviolet rays.

5. Poor hygroscopicity: It feels stuffy and hot when wearing, and at the same time, it is easy to carry static electricity and dust, affecting the beauty and comfort. However, it is very easy to dry after washing, and the wet strength almost does not drop, does not deform, and has good washability.

6. Poor dyeing property: but good color fastness, not easy to fade. Because there is no specific dyeing group on the polyester molecular chain, and the polarity is small, the dyeing is more difficult, the dyeability is poor, and the dye molecules are not easy to enter the fiber.

7. Good light resistance. Light resistance is second only to acrylic fiber. The light resistance of polyester fabric is better than that of acrylic fiber, and its light resistance is better than that of natural fiber fabric. Especially, the sun resistance behind the glass is very good, almost equal to that of acrylic fiber.

8. Good elasticity. The elasticity is close to that of wool. When the elongation is 5%~6%, it can almost recover completely. Wrinkle resistance is better than other fibers, that is, the fabric does not wrinkle and has good dimensional stability. The elastic modulus is 22~141cN/dtex, 2~3 times higher than nylon Polyester fabric has high strength and elastic recovery ability, so it is firm and durable, wrinkle resistant and iron free.
